Concreting across the Central Coast

Central Coast Council has covered this whole area as one local government area since it formed on 12 May 2016, merging the former Gosford City Council and Wyong Shire Council into a single authority stretching from Woy Woy and Umina Beach in the south to Wyong and Toukley in the north. That matters for concreting because the driveway rules that used to differ between the two old councils are now the same everywhere: a Vehicle Access Crossing approval is required before you pour a new or altered crossover onto the road reserve, whether the job is in Erina, Terrigal, The Entrance or out past Ourimbah. Most of the region sits either on the coastal strip fringing Tuggerah Lake and Brisbane Water or up in the hinterland toward the escarpment, and which side of that split a block falls on tends to decide how far a truck can get and how the site drains once the concrete is down.
